Every day between now and the 22nd, we’ll be bringing attention to one of the products or promotions that we will have available at our booth at Fan Expo Regina, happening April 23rd and 24th at Evraz Place.
Today’s highlight is the piece that got the most attention last year, and perhaps rightly so:
Yep, that’s Kermit the Frog!
This is an exact 1:1 reproduction of what’s called the Photo Puppet, which is the model of Kermit that the Jim Henson company would use for publicity photos and the like.
That means that it’s not a hand puppet, you can’t wear him on your arm to amaze friends and family, but this does mean he is fully posable. There is metal wiring running through his feet, ankles, knees, hips, wrists, shoulders, elbows, each finger individually, neck and mouth. He can be shifted into virtually any pose imaginable, and will hold that pose indefinitely.
But more than that, the designs and materials that he was made from are the same used by the Muppet Workshop itself, so this is as close as one can come to ownership of an authentic Kermit the Frog.
This figures is completely with box, stand, certificate of authenticity, and care instructions.
There are very few of these available on the market (at the time of this writing; only one on eBay, and ours is the only one on Amazon), as it was limited to 2500 copies in 2005, and most of them have fallen to damage, or are in the hands of collectors uninterested in selling.
Most times our asking price for this items is between $800 and $1000 CDN, but if you make us an offer at Fan Expo, we might be willing to listen…
